deconstruct / reconstruct

deconstruct /reconstruct is a book outlining my crisis of christian faith. “Metaphor is the only language available to religion because it alone is honest about mystery." Inspired by this quote by Richard Rohr, I sought to fill in the gaps of my own language with metaphoric collage, doing my best to honestly portray a time of both growth and existential religious crisis. I am currently working on expanding this project to the web to become a resource for others going through "deconstruction." Deconstruction can be a terrifying and isolating process, and I'd like to help others on their way to learning to love God in a brave new world. I plan to also create a curriculum, kit and set of 6 wine bottles for the purpose of helping others "sit around the table" and have conversations about this highly charged topic.
